Ongoing Weather Drives Freight Uncertainty, Shippers Ready for Extended Disruptions

MARCH 12, 2024

Winter and early spring storm warnings continue persist in California’s Sierra Nevada due to heavy snowfall and strong winds, leading to the closure of Interstate 80 and other major thoroughfares. The National Weather Service reports significant snow accumulation and extreme avalanche danger, with additional storm warnings extending across Northern California and Nevada. As a result, shippers are looking to expand their networks and find alternate fulfillment routes. PRIMO’s advanced network is built to withstand such risks and allows shippers immediate access to other truckload capacity and lanes when problems arise.
