New Sustainability Coalition “The Constellation” Seeks to Protect Supply Chain Capabilities

‘The Constellation’ is an initiative that brings together diverse organizations such as PwC, Microsoft, and the British Standards Institute, among others. Its primary aim is to develop a methodology and metrics that showcase an organization’s true impact on people and the planet, with a special focus on supply chains. These tools will guide sustainable investments for businesses, governments, and community organizations. The idea for ‘The Constellation’ emerged in response to King Charles’ call at COP28 to create coherent initiatives addressing environmental and social issues. Initiatives like “Bankers for Net-Zero” and the “Rewired Earth coalition” are part of this alliance, along with others such as the “Supply Chain Data Partnership,” which offers verified data on global supply chains. Heather Buchanan, CEO of Bankers for Net-Zero, praised this initiative as a significant breakthrough in safeguarding supply chains and creating value for society and the planet. More organizations are expected to join ‘The Constellation’ in the near future.
